WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKES 4 teaspoon baking powder

eggs, beaten 6 tablespoon brown sugar

cups milk 6 tablespoon salad oil EASY WHOLE WHEAT WAFFLES 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

teaspoon vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt

cup butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

eggs, beaten 2 tablespoons brown sugar QUICK COFFEE CAKE 2 cups white whole wheat flour

cup cornstarch 4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2
teaspoon salt 6 tablespoons shortening

cup sugar 2 eggs
1-1/3
cup milk 1 cup applesauce
2
tablespoons butter 1 cup brown sugar
2
teaspoons cinnamon
Preheat oven to
425 degrees. Grease and flour 9x13
baking pan. Beat shortening with electric
mixer until creamy. Slowly add sugar to
shortening beating until fluffy. Add eggs and
milk; mix well. Add applesauce and mix well. Sift
together flour, baking powder and salt. Add
flour mixture to shortening mixture mixing with wooden spoon until dry ingredients are
completely wet. Pour into prepared baking pan. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon until well mixed. Add melted butter.
Sprinkle over batter in baking pan. Bake
coffee cake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. |
